Dr. Tykocinski has been performing hair transplantation for more than fifteen years and follicular unit hair transplantation exclusively for the last twelve years. He was one of the early adopters of this advanced procedure and introduced it to Latin America in 1996.

Dr. Tykocinski has emerged as a world renowned expert on the new ultra refined follicular unit hair transplantation procedure, which utilizes extremely small incisions and grafts that are skillfully orientated laterally. This new procedure produces extremely natural results with rapid healing, while enabling physicians to create excellent density in a given area in only one surgical session.

Given Dr. Tykocinski's world renown reputation, he was chosen to chair the scientific committee for the most important world wide annual gathering of hair restoration physicians, which will be held in Montreal, Canada in September of 2008.

Dr. Tykocinski is well known for his high level of artistry in creating extremely subtle and natural hairlines. He offers non-surgical and surgical treatment for initial, partial and advanced baldness. These treatments include hair loss prevention, drug treatments and the correction of prior inadequate hair transplantation.

He graduated from Santa Casa de Sao Paula Medical College in Brazil. He then trained for another three years in dermatological surgery. Dr. Tykocinski has studied the techniques of other leading surgeons at numerous international conferences. He has also presented and lectured on his own unique “Brazilian Style” of Ultra Refined Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation” at these international meetings.

Dr. Tykocinski is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration and is the Scientific Chairman of this world wide organization for 2008. He is also a member of the American Society of Hair Restoration and the European Society of Hair Restoration. He is renowned in South America and world wide as a leading innovator in hair restoration surgery. He is a member of Sociedade Brasileira de Dermatologia (Brazilian Dermatology Society) and Sociedade Brasileira de Cirurgia Dermatológica (Brazilian Dermatological Surgery Society).

Dr. Tykocinski also coordinates many workshops and symposiums in Brazil. He recently wrote a chapter about hair transplantation in the first dermatological surgery textbook from Brazil.
