Dr. Lindsey Hair into skin cancer scar at 6 months with video

This nice lady had a couple of skin cancers removed by Mohs technique by a local dermatologist. Because of the aggressiveness of her skin cancers, a skin graft was placed and part of this failed...and she was left with a fair sized hairless patch just behind her hairline. At a year out from her skin graft we placed hair and she just stopped by for a 6 month checkup.

Although its preliminary growth, she can certainly camouflage her previous problem and we'll almost certainly have final pics next year at this time.

Dr. Lindsey final result on Norwood 6/7 after 2 cases, with video, McLean VA

This fellow came by last week, now 2 years out from his first 2700 graft case and 1 year out from a second 2300 graft case. He really has the trifecta of very fine hairs to work with, a limited supply of hair and a lot of bald scalp, AND he likes a short haircut. Additionally he has CVG, noticed by the long creases along his paramedian scalp in the preop and 1 year pics.

Shown are selected preop, first case, second case and final pics. Of particular attention are his first strip scar, which was excised in the middle of his strip for the second casealmost imperceptible, and his final scar which is pretty good..but not imperceptible. Also, we added about 300 singles to his left frontal hairline to strengthen it at the second case.

I’ve asked him to contribute to this thread and while he’s fairly private I hope that he’ll at least tell what I personally liked hearing from him most of all.that at his daughter’s wedding recently he no longer looked like a bald guy in the pictures of him walking her down the aisle. THAT is a great compliment.

Dr. Lindsey FUE into female burn scar with video at 1 year McLean VA

This nice lady was burned as a child. She had a 1.5 x 1.5 inch atrophic hairless hypopigmented burn scar on her forehead.

Shown are preop, intraop, 1 week, 3, 7 and 12 month pictures. Its likely she'll thicken even more over the next several months given that her hair had to grow within fairly avascular scar tissue.

Dr. Lindsey 2000 graft repair and Video McLean VA

This nice fellow had a poor experience elsewhere. He had to do some kind of shaggy comb foreward.

Note his postop 1 year pics. Particularly with really dark hair and really light skin he looks good. 1 year pics are both with and without flash.

Dr. Lindsey 1 year checkup on 2500 grafts up front McLean VA

This fellow was in last fall for 2500 grafts to address his frontal third. He’s a machine, having done 2 ironman events, the Canada death march, and the Alcatraz escape triathlon. Also, he pulled my wisdom teeth when I was in 9th grade, his first year in practice.

>Shown are intraop pictures and a postop day 3 picture exhibiting minimal swelling. Day 7 suture “self”-removal pictures are also shown. As you can expect based on his will power, he took 2 pain pills, and immediately returned to work. I’d prepared him for significant swelling and lost a friendly bet to him as he assured me that he wouldn’t swell postoperatively. When I asked how he did it he replied “good genes and willpower". He is from my hometown and I stopped by his office in the spring and took a picture at 7 months.
The latest pictures are at exactly 1 year. He looks great although he is using a medicine which appears to be impacting his crownand we addressed that by a small crown case. He’s in his mid 60’s and going strong. He emailed this am he had his nurses take out his sutures and he’s back to 20 miles of mountain trail running each Friday night.
We’ll get followup pictures over the next 12 months.

Dr. Lindsey 1 year frontal 2000 with video McLean VA

This guy just happened by our office by chance this afternoon. He's just short of a year out from 1981 grafts to his front, is not on meds, has had chemotherapy pre-hair work...which almost always does permanently weaken and thin native hair. He looks fantastic and is an occupation where a short haircut is preferred. Shown in this video are preop, intraop, 1 month, and 1 year results.
